The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Manitoba is bringing together two dynamic sessions in one morning. Starting with a focused advocacy discussion and rolling into a highly interactive workshop on chamber growth.
Advocacy Essentials with Elisabeth Saftiuk (10:00 – 10:30 AM)
We'll kick things off with Elisabeth Saftiuk, Vice President of Policy & Government Relations at the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce. Elisabeth will lead a short but impactful session on advocacy. A topic that several chambers across the network have been asking for lately. Whether you're just starting to build relationships with local government or looking to strengthen your advocacy approach, this session will provide practical, accessible steps your chamber can take right away. Advocacy doesn't have to be a big, daunting task. Small steps can lead to big results for your members.
Chamber Growth Workshop with Shari Pearce (10:30 – 11:30 AM)
Following the advocacy discussion, we're welcoming in Shari Pearce, CEO of the Central & North Hastings Chamber of Commerce, for a highly interactive virtual workshop. Chamber leaders from across the Manitoba network will actively participate, gain insights, and explore practical approaches that Shari takes in her Chamber. These approaches have led Shari's Chamber to becoming one of the fastest-growing in Canada. Designed with real-world application in mind, this session will deliver tools and ideas that chambers can continue to use well into the future.
This is part one of a two-part workshop series with Shari, as we'll have her out for an in-person session in November. Take the knowledge you gain in June, execute over the summer, and we'll see how everyone is doing with those lessons at the future workshop.
