Shawna Burton is the Vice President of Engagement and Organizational Advancement at Greater Louisville Inc., (GLI) the metro chamber of commerce in Louisville, Kentucky.  She is responsible for planning and directing the organization's strategic and long term goals, overseeing GLI's marketing department as well as directing the chamber's engagement team. Shawna was recently ranked #14 on Insider Louisville’s 100 Marketing & Advertising Influencers In Louisville and was the 2017 Kentucky Chamber Executive of the Year.
 
Shawna was formerly the Executive Director of Marketing and Engagement at GLI. She was responsible for the strategic direction, management and execution of all GLI events and products. Year over year, Shawna and her team grew and diversified GLI engagement opportunities.
 
Shawna serves on the board of directors for Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE), the Kentucky Derby Festival and is a graduate of Leadership Louisville. Shawna is a lifelong Louisvillian and received her BA in Communication from the University of Louisville. She lives in Shelbyville, Kentucky with her husband Jeff and their two daughters, Nora and Lucy.
